Clarity in Communications Award
The Clarity in Communications prize is awarded annually by the Company of Public Relations Practioners, to recognise excellence in communications by those from the livery movement who are not PR professionals.
This year’s winner was our Assistant Clerk, Gillian Croxford. Ms Katherine Sykes, Master of the Company of Public Relations presented the award with guest of honour the Rt Hon. the Lord Hill of Oareford CBE, a former government Minister and PR consultant, at a celebratory dinner at Apothecaries’ Hall on Tuesday 27 February.
At the dinner she was presented with a unique prize: a specially designed, beautiful leaded glass roundel created by artist Emma Butler-Cole Aiken.
The judging panel which included Mr Bob Roberts, Director of Communications for the Corporation of London and the Master of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painted Glass, Mr Keith Barley concluded that Mrs Croxford’s production of the Company of Innholders’ annual review to be “a genuinely first-class document with a clear message ‘A Year of Involvement and Giving’” and her supporting communications to members had helped see a three-fold increase in charitable giving which was deemed to be “an impressive result”.
