As The Clink is one of the charities that WCI supports, we had an opportunity to dine at the HMP High Down restaurant.
Lead by the CEO Chris Moore, we had a fascinating time learning about the success that The Clink has achieved so far (such as reducing re-offending rate by over 40%) as well as the fantastic plans they have in the future, inkling a new test kitchen and a coffee shop in King’s Cross.
We were all taken back by the quality of the food and the service, especially as we learnt that they were all relatively new to the programme. The highlight dish was the rump of lamb, which the plastic cutlery had no problem getting though.
All in all, it was fantastic and thought provoking experience, that hopefully, is one to be repeated.
